H406VRW/H282
The quintessential driving glove in this section is the H406VRW, made from cowhide grain leather and offering excellent touch and breathability. By contrast, the Mechanix-style H282 features extra reinforcements in the palm, making it perfect for work involving wear in the this area.
Phytosanitary protection
H821/H811C55
When using chemicals to fertilise and administer treatments that can cause severe burns, we must use gloves certified for chemical handling. We recommend two flocked nitrile models: the H821, a glove that protects the forearm and is 33 cm long, and the H811C55, with increased thickness and a length of 46 cm for greater protection. In terms of body protection, it is best to use a Steelgen type 5 or 6 certified disposable chemical-protection coverall to protect against solid toxic particles and liquid chemical splashes and to provide biological protection.
Forestry work
Silvicultural treatments can promote forest regeneration and reduce the risk of fire. This work is carried out according to the nature of the forest mass (conifers or leafy species, natural forests or reforestation.
In productive forests, silvicultural treatments are used to improve woodland conditions, control competition, improve the phytosanitary condition of the mass to prevent future forest pests and maintain the appropriate density through to future final use.
Gloves by phases
Reproduction in nurseries
The seed is collected and sown in this phase.
Depending on the plant type, sowing must be done in the tray, pot or directly in the ground with the bare root. (Models H5140V, 5116FCV, AC5440GY)
The processes involved in this phase are soil preparation, seed selection (Models sHPU2000V, PU1400, NL00), sowing (Models H5140V, 5116FCV, AC5440GY), irrigation (Models H5654, H580MG, 5656), phytosanitary treatments (Model 821) and plant selection (Models H255, 11181, 5118).
Phytosanitary treatments
Planting
Soil preparation
This is the phase when the soil is prepared to receive the plant. This process can entail breaking the ground or digging holes. It can be done with machinery (backhoe, bulldozer, tractor…) or manually with a hoe
(Models H411IN, 211, 213, 406VRW).
Planting or sowing
Planting is usually done to ensure the planting framework and plant viability. Depending on the condition of the land and variety of the plant, planting will either be manual with a hoe (Models: H411IN, 211, 213, 406VRW) or mechanical by digging a hole. After digging, the operator places the plant in the hole or sows the seed in the ground (Models H5140V, 5116FCV, AC5440GY)
Forest treatments
That aim to improve the condition of forests with a certain degree of maturity
Clearing
This consists of controlling shrub undergrowth to promote tree growth. It also serves to avoid excess fuel and minimise the risk of fire propagation. It is performed with a tractor or trimmer. (Models H210M, H411IN, 210HIB, 404B, H270GY)
Thinning
A treatment consisting of controlling tree density. For this purpose, forest trees are selectively felled to give more physical space to the remaining specimens for better development of the mass. It can be done with a backhoe loader that crushes the standing trees or with a chainsaw. (Models MT140, HMT180, MT160)
Pruning
Cutting the branches of a tree for growth or to boost its productivity. It is done with a manual pole saw or a pole or regular chainsaw. (Models 204FSML, 415SFML, 205MC, 205ML, MT140, HMT180, MT160)
Uses: hewing
Felling
This operation consists of cutting down trees and positioning them on the ground. It can be done with a chainsaw or with machinery (forest processor) (Models: MT140, HMT180, MT160)
Bucking
After limbing, the tree is bucked into suitable lengths for handling. This is done with a chainsaw. (Models MT140, HMT180, MT160)
