Its length of 65 cm offers great protection and waterproof in those jobs where it is necessary to cover that part of the body. It has a rough finish that helps to handle slippery or wet objects. Its triple dipped offers a total waterproof and its seamless inner lining makes it a very comfortable glove thanks also to its ergonomic design. This model is sold from size 7 to 10.   5683 – Triple dipped PVC with CHEMICAL AND ANTISTATIC PROTECTION   This chemical protection glove is also certified under the glove standard with antistatic properties, making it an ideal glove for work in ATEX classified areas or where it is necessary to handle chemical products capable of igniting due to sparks caused by static electricity, among others. Made with a seamless cotton lining that helps absorb sweat, it is totally waterproof thanks to its triple sandy PVC coating, providing excellent grip on any type of surface. It is a very complete model also providing resistance to contact heat of 100ºC for 15 seconds. GHG Protocol by AENOR obtained by Juba

Juba has achieved the AENOR’s GHG Protocol certification, the internationally recognized protocol for the Greenhouse gases emission calculation thanks to the Carbon Footprint Calculator designed by the Bunzl Group in Spain. The GHG Emissions Calculation Tool is not only helping Juba to estimate our activity’s greenhouse gas emissions is not only allowing for measuring Juba’s carbon footprint, it also allows our customers for calculating their own carbon footprint in terms of distribution. Therefore, we are ready to support our customers by providing key data that can boost to streamlining their distribution costs. There are three possible areas of verification: Scope 1: Direct emissions Emissions from fleet of vehicles’ burning fuel. Emissions from refrigeration and air conditioning units. Emissions from industrial processes. Scope 2: indirect emissions from purchased energy Consumption of purchased electricity, steam, heat and cooling. Scope 3: other indirect emissions. Emissions linked to the company’s operations. Emissions relating to the production of fuels and energy consumed. Emissions due to transportation and distribution for logistics suppliers. Waste generated in operations (paper, plastics, metals, etc). Emissions emitted by employees through travel to and from work. Emissions derived from logistics of subcontracted transportation. This is a step forward in Juba’s agenda in favour of sustainability and commitment with environmental respect and care, promoting the control and reduction of our activity’s impact in the Planet.

Gold sponsorship renewal with the Ecomar Foundation

We have renewed our GOLD Sponsorship to the Ecomar Foundation chaired by Theresa Zabell, with whom we have been collaborating since 2018. Ecomar is a private public interest entity that aims to bring people, especially children and young people, closer to the marine environment by teaching the ecological and environmental values of the sea. Ecomar has become a benchmark in the cleaning of coasts, being among the first organisations to perform them, and after more than 20 years of continuous collaboration with leading entities that make it possible. The GOLD Sponsorship to which we are attached entails, beyond economic collaboration, the promulgation and practice of Ecomar values giving visibility of our message on different communication platforms, assignment of space at fairs and events, providing material for use in cleaning coasts (gloves and bags), and the organisation of beach clean-ups involving both company personnel and schools, nautical schools and sports centres. This year we will enhance this collaboration by actively engaging in the new and exciting projects that Ecomar will put in place to continue taking care of the seas and oceans, projects that we will share with employees and clients, because we want to remain part of the solution.

DY003RF: News in the nature range

Dyneema® Bio-Based fibre is obtained from the combined fossil and naturally occurring raw material from waste from the wood industry; this significantly reduces the carbon footprint associated with production. Juba adds a new model to the Nature collection: DY003RF, which is manufactured with Dyneema® Bio-Based fibre and Diamond technology, which does not use glass filament to increase its cutting level. The combination of these two Dyneema® technologies results in a highly competitive glove, with the same cutting, comfort, durability and breathability features as a conventional Dyneema®; adding less environmental impact and higher skin tolerance as extra benefits. DY003RF is made of gauge 15 and coated with palm polyurethane. It is a glove designed for environments that require tact and dexterity with a medium-high risk of cuts. In addition, there is a nitrile reinforcement in the thumb area to protect the area of greatest wear and thus increase glove service life. This new Dyneema® Diamond and Juba Bio-Based model is available in sizes: 6 a 11. Click here for more information.

Gloves for cleaning weeds

Weeding in the garden is an important and often underestimated task. Weeds are a visual nuisance, but they are also harmful to plant health and the overall appearance of your garden. There are several ways to clean weeds, so we have selected a glove reference for each task depending on the risk. A good way to contain weeds is by using preventive gardening techniques: With herbicide use you should wear chemically protected gloves such as H821, to protect your hands from chemicals. For using hand tools such as hoes to start root plants, the H411IN cowhide leather glove with additional palm reinforcement provides good flexibility and comfort. When using trimmers to cut weeds flush with the floor or lawnmowers for grass, you should protect yourself with the HG270GY glove with padded protection on the palm and knuckle area to dampen shock and absorb vibrations from the machine. In addition, it is important to keep the garden clean and tidy, regularly removing fallen leaves and branches, as this can provide an ideal environment for weed growth.

New addition: HV750P Yellow High-Vis Trousers

We have incorporated reference HV750P yellow high-vis rain trousers into the Juba catalogue. Some jobs -such as fish-market work, public maintenance with the presence of water or other jobs with water on the ground and a need for visibility- only require water protection of the bottom half and not the jacket. The option of just trousers is therefore a cheaper solution for tasks where only waterproofing in the legs is needed. It is also useful as a spare trouser for your full water suit, since the trouser is the part most affected by dirt and wear. The HV750P trouser is made from a lightweight polyester fabric with a full polyurethane coating ensuring complete watertightness to liquids. All the seams are thermosealed to fully prevent water from entering, as there are no openings or pores between stitches that can let damp in. Whether in the case of heavy rain or large splashes, the HV750P trouser guarantees water will not cross the garment and you can work without worrying about the amount of moisture in the environment or the discomfort of feeling wet. It also has a press stud in the ankle opening to tighten it and prevent water from entering through absorption. The elastic waist has an adjustable cord. This high-visibility trouser model comes in fluorescent yellow. Click here for more product info.

HV984 High-Vis Winter Trousers

We have launched the high-vis version of our popular 984 SNOW winter technical trousers under the references HV984B (black) and HV984DN (navy). The performance of our original trousers, with their warmth, snug design and elasticity, plus a fluorescent yellow area and reflective stripes for jobs requiring heightened visibility. Increasing standardisation in the labour sector towards safer and more controlled working environments to reduce accidents has boosted demand for high-visibility protection, making the use of clothes with retro-reflective material and the regulations certifying it increasingly common. Our HV984 trousers are certified for level-1 high visibility and have cold resistance for thermal resistance and air permeability. It is a trouser with a micro-fleece inner lining and elastic windbreaker outer fabric with a close-fitting design and articulated knees that lets you move with ease and comfort.
